Terms and Conditions for 1-to-1 and Small Group Rugby Skill Sessions

This Agreement (Agreement) is entered into by and between Ben John,(Coach) and the participant (Player).

1. Injury Disclaimer:

a. The Coach provides rugby skill sessions, acknowledging the inherent risks associated with contact sports. The coach will take reasonable measures to ensure safety throughout.

b. The Player acknowledges and assumes all risks of injury arising from or related to participation in the rugby skill sessions.

2. Concussion Check:

a. The Player confirms they have not suffered a concussion within the three weeks preceding the training session.

b. The Coach reserves the right to refuse participation if there is suspicion or knowledge of a recent concussion.

3. Injury Reporting:

a. The Player agrees to report any pre-existing injuries or health concerns to the Coach before the commencement of each training session.

b. Failure to disclose injuries may result in the Player's removal from the session.

4. Cancellation Policy:

a. The Player acknowledges that a cancellation made 48 hours or less before the scheduled session will not be eligible for a refund.

b. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Coach under extenuating circumstances.

5. Under 16's Special:

a. For participants under the age of 16, parental consent is required.

b. The Coach adheres to the Children Act and England Rugby's safeguarding regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of underage participants.

6. Qualifications Check:

a. The Coach holds valid certifications in first aid, safeguarding, a level 3 Rugby coaching badge, and a level 4 Personal Training certificate.

7. Filming and Photos:

a. Ben, the designated media representative, may request permission to film or take photos for social media purposes.

b. The Player retains the right to grant or deny consent for their image to be used on social media. Such requests will be made before filming or photography.

8. Safety Checks: 

a. Prior to each session, both the Coach and Player will conduct an equipment check to ensure the proper condition of all gear.

b. Facility checks will be performed to assess the safety of the training area.

c. In case of adverse weather conditions, such as excessive rain, heat, or frozen pitches, Ben will inspect the pitch beforehand and may cancel or reschedule the session for the safety of both Player and Coach.

By participating in the rugby skill sessions, the Player acknowledges having read, understood, and agreed to abide by the terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement.
