The Rugby Trainer Academy and Canterbury Continue Their Partnership for the New Season
Aug 23, 2026
23rd August 2026 – London, UK: The Rugby Trainer Academy is proud to confirm that its partnership with Canterbury of New Zealand, its Official Rugby Apparel Partner, continues into the new season. Following a strong first year together, both organisations are building on that foundation to support the next generation of junior rugby players.
Since the partnership began, Canterbury has kitted out the Academy's coaching team and worked closely with Ben John and the wider team to bring high-quality apparel to players and coaches alike. This next phase builds on that relationship, with more planned for Academy members as the new season gets underway.
Looking ahead, the Academy's ambition for the next 12 months is to help more players develop their game throughout the week, not just during club training. The focus is on supporting parents of 9 to 13 year olds, giving them the tools to help their child build on the passion and love they already have for rugby, by developing their skills across all the core areas of the game.
Stuart Crossman, Senior Marketing Manager at Canterbury of New Zealand, commented: "We’re delighted to continue our partnership with The Rugby Trainer Academy and support the brilliant work they do to develop the next generation of talent. Rugby is at its strongest when young people have the opportunity to play, develop their skills and feel part of the community, so we’re incredibly proud to continue supporting The Academy and helping more young players stay connected to the game."
The partnership will continue to combine Canterbury's expertise in rugby apparel with the Academy's coaching programmes, giving young players the tools and support they need both on and off the field.
Ben John, Founder of The Rugby Trainer Academy, shared his thoughts: "We're really excited for the season ahead, and having Canterbury join us once again means a lot. Together we're able to support parents of junior players who want their kids to learn how to become better players, not just at club sessions but throughout the week."
